Delete Your SOMO Account

You can permanently delete your SOMO account and all associated data at any time. This page describes how to request account deletion and what data is removed.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (instant)

Open the SOMO app on your phone.
Sign in if you aren't already.
Tap the Account tab at the bottom right.
Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
Confirm. Your account and personal data are removed immediately.

Option 2 — Email request

If you can't access the app, send a deletion request to:

Email: [email protected]
Subject: Delete my SOMO account
Body: Include the phone number registered with your SOMO account so we can verify ownership.

We will action the request within 7 business days.

What data is deleted

Your name and phone number
Saved vehicle details
Booking history (customer side)
Chat messages you sent
Saved address / location data

What data is retained, and why

Transaction records linked to completed payments are retained for up to 7 years to comply with Indian tax and accounting law (Income Tax Act, GST regulations).
Anonymized usage analytics (no personal identifiers) may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.
Partner listings created by partners are deactivated but the spot record may remain for ongoing customer dispute resolution.
